"Climate inaction, apathy, greed. Every one, another subtle atom bomb" We realised when writing this album that we were distilling all of our frustrations, fears and hopes about climate change into the music. Mostly wordless, but with more words than we've ever used before. Epic and brooding, with buzzsaw bass made from a snare drum strapped to the bass amp, some of our most stark violin moments, and an ending that can read a few different ways depending on your point of view....we hope you find it as cathartic as we have. credits released September 19, 2019 Performed by The Crooked Fiddle Band Jess Randall: violin, nyckelharpa, vocals Gordon Wallace: guitar, bouzouki, cittern Mark Stevens: double bass Joe Gould: drum kit, udu, gong, garbage bins, vocals with Ezmi Pepper: cello on Counter Errorism and Twilight to Darkness Freya Schack-Arnott: cello on Twilight to Darkness Gordon plays a Gilet Guitar and a Wheeler Custom Lutheries Bouzouki Jess plays a nyckelharpa made by Leonart Lovin Produced by Joe Gould Recorded and Mixed by Clayton Segelov at The Brain Recording Studios, St Peters, Australia Additional recording by Joe Gould Mastered by Alan Douches at West Side Music Album art is ‘The Intermediary’, oil on canvas by Juan Ford.
